Winter Classic: New York Rangers

This concept is loosely based on the current alternate worn by the New York Rangers. As the Rangers will be on the road when the Winter Classic is played in Philadelphia, I simply made a white version of it! Additionally I placed the shield logo (1935-47) on the shoulders of the jersey.

Edmonton Alternate

The Edmonton Oilers have reverted back to the uniforms that were worn when they first joined the NHL. But what next? We all know that alternate jerseys equate to huge dollars... so why not go even further back and introduce an alternate from their days in the (defunct) WHA? Hence this concept.

IIHIMW: Vancouver Canucks (Part II)

Okay... so here is the first jersey set in this series: The Vancouver Canucks!

The road white uniform is a modernized version of the jersey used by the Canucks from 70-72. This jersey was also used during the 2010-11 NHL season to celebrate the Canucks' 40th anniversary.

The home blue uniform is also a modernized version of the jersey used by the Canucks from 70-72. However, the striping has been altered slightly, which I think gives it an improvement.

Finally, the alternate uniform is a modernized version of the jersey used by the Vancouver Millionaires way back in the early 1900's. I fail to understand why this has never been done... they are the only Vancouver-based hockey team to EVER win a Stanley Cup. CELEBRATE THIS!

IIHIMW: Vancouver Canucks (Part I)

In Vancouver, there is a hospice for terminally ill children called "Canuck Place." Canuck players regularly visit the children here and take part in a variety of activities (such as pumpkin carving at Halloween).

Anyhow, the Canucks have worn the Canuck Place emblem on their right shoulders for three uniforms (the 92-97 home and road jerseys and the 01-06 alternate jerseys). I think this gives a certain sense of identity to the Canucks jersey set that has been lacking for a long time.

I have simply taken the logo from the 01-06 alternate jerseys and recoloured it using MS Paint.

If I Had It My Way (IIHIMW): Canucks

After that Minnesota jersey (which I really liked), it dawned on me that I should simply turn this website into a series of my own rebrands. Thus, I'm going to make a "If I Had It My Way" Tag... or IIHIMW tag which can be found on the right side of this blog. This will enable you to access all of my rebrands.

I'll be starting out with my favourite team: the Vancouver Canucks

A Minnesota Wild Concept!

I really think Minnesota's forrest green uniforms are the best ones that they wear. It's a shame that they are worn as alternates and thus, less frequently than the regular home and road uniforms. If I had it my way the forrest green uniforms would be worn at home and their opposites, in white, would be worn at home. And thus...this concept was born.

And of course... The Canucks!

I finally put the red/yellow V logo on a jersey. I think it works better as a shoulder logo.
